A VARIETY OF WINERIES

Riverby Estates

Riverby Estate is a boutique wine producer, occupying a prime site in Marlborough's Jacksons Road heartland. All grapes are grown on the estate vineyard by descendants of the Matthews family, who have been farming the property for over 100 years. The Matthews farm was called Riverby and the original homestead, depicted on the Sauvignon Blanc back label, is still in use.

The Riverby name originated from the Opawa River and its tributaries, which meandered through the property. The river was diverted in the 1930s to stop Blenheim from flooding; creating what was eventually to become ideal grape growing land. The rainbow trout on the Riverby label is symbolic of the fish that used to swim where grapes are now grown.

We produce a wide range of wines, although not all wines are made every year. Because we have such a wide selection, we are able to “skip a vintage” if we don’t think the quality of grapes for a particular variety are up to our desired standard.

Our wines have won many trophies over the years, most notably our sweet wines, every vintage of which has won a trophy.

Dublin St Wines

Situated in the heart of Martinborough, funnily enough on Dublin St, this husband and wife team create award winning pinot noirs that match any of those made across the globe. In fact they have just won the Trophy for Champion Pinot Noir at the NZ International Wine Show for their 2020 Reserve pinot noir.  It was a real honour as it’s the biggest blind-tasting show in the country with Bob Campbell MW being one of the main judges.

HaHa Wines

In Maori Hãhã means savoury and luscious, tasty and delicious,

In keeping with their tradition of get-togethers, Hãhã Wine started when three families who were already involved in exporting apples, meat and seafood, had a discussion about adding wine into the mix. That conversation lead to a unanimous agreement to produce a mouth-watering New Zealand fizz to take to the rest of the world. HaHa Brut and Rose are made from Chardonnay and Pinot noir grapes and with their delicacy and elegance are reminiscent to those of Champagne.

Wayra Winery

In Incan culture Wayra means 'wind'. Situated in Mendoza the winds blow through the vineyards which doesn't stop the winemakers creating fabulous malbecs, not to mention a superb Cabernet Franc.

Reid + Reid Gin

Situated in Martinborough in the North Island of New Zealand, Stu and Chris handcraft their gins, using foraged native botanicals from around the distillery. If you're after small batch, great gin then look no further.

Ashton Winery

Created from the best quality grapes in the Valley of Wine and Roses.

In the heart of the Robertson Valley in the Cape Winelands, travelling on the world’s longest wine route, you’ll come across Ashton Winery.

Here, between the gently-flowing Breede River and the foothills of the Langeberg, the environment is perfect for producing quality wines.

The climate is unique. So are the soil varieties. Viticulture practices have been perfected over many generations, yielding harvests of consistently high quality.
